TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your membership agreement, upon successful application, will start from the date agreed for a period of 12 months. Below are the terms and conditions, rights, and privileges assigned by Yorkshire Spa Retreat for your chosen Membership for which you have been accepted.
Terms and Conditions are subject to change at the Spa Manager’s discretion.
YOUR SPA MEMBERSHIP
· You must be at least 18 years of age to be a member of The Spa at Yorkshire Spa Retreat.
· The minimum membership term is 12 months.
· A joining fee of £100 for an individual Membership, or £150 for a joint Membership is to be paid with all monthly Memberships. The joining fee is to be paid upfront at the time of sign up and is non-refundable.
· Annual Memberships receive 12 months membership for the price of 11. With this, there is no joining fee required.
· If your monthly payments remain unpaid after your agreed due date, you will be in breach of the membership rules and at risk of your membership being cancelled.
· All membership benefits are only valid throughout the course of your membership period.
· Membership inclusive treatments must be pre-booked.
· Spa facility access must be pre-booked. This access is limited to a maximum of 6 hours per day.
· Membership inclusive treatments cannot be transferred on to the following month(s).
· Memberships may be frozen in exceptional circumstances such as medical conditions, this will be at the managers discretion.
· The joint membership is only applicable for two people based at the same postal address.
· Discounts are permitted for Spa members only – these cannot be transferred to friends and family.
GUEST PASSES
· You must be present alongside your guests when they are using their discounted spa pass.
· Spa guest passes must be pre-booked.
· Discounted food and drink do not apply to guests.
· No more than 3 guests can attend with you at one time.
· Guests must adhere to the Yorkshire Spa regulations and etiquette. Guests can be asked to leave at the managers discretion if they do not.
RECOMMEND A FRIEND
· Recommend a friend for a membership and receive a free 60 minute treatment
· Valid only to those with a current active membership
· Valid only once the joining fee has been paid and the new membership is active
· ‘Friend’ will need to quote your name in an Email to spa@yorkshire-spa-retreat.co.ukto be eligible for a free treatment.
· Your 60 minute treatment can be selected from our treatment menu
CANCELLATION OF SPA MEMBERSHIPS
· We may cancel your Membership in the event that you commit a breach of the membership agreement. Any money owed back to you will be at the discretion of the Spa Manager.
· Should you wish to cancel your membership after 12 months, a one month written notice is given.
SPA FACILITIES
· The Spa’s operating hours 10-00am-6:00pm. These hours may vary at the discretion of the Spa Manager with or without prior notice.
. The Spa will be closed Monday's in off peak months (1st November - 31st March)
· Yorkshire Spa Retreat reserve the right to close the facilities should any essential maintenance work be required or in the event of an emergency.
· The last entry to the spa is 90 minutes prior to closing.
· Our changing rooms are mixed gender. Private changing cubicles are provided.
· Appropriate swimwear must always be worn when using the facilities.
· Outdoor shoes are not permitted in and around the Spa. Flip-flops will be provided for you.
· The outdoor natural wild swimming pond and thermal cabins are unsupervised. Members should exercise with caution and swim at their own risk.
· The natural water pond is 1.5m in depth. The pond is unheated, and temperature will vary throughout the year.
· When the outdoor temperature hits freezing, we do not advise use of the natural swim pond.
· We ask that only plastic glasses are used in and around the Spa facilities for all drinks.
· Food and drink from Yorkshire Spa Retreat are to be consumed in the spa.
· You are not permitted to bring your own food and drink into the spa and a fee will be charged to you if you do so.
· We ask you are respectful around the Spa and keep noise to a respectable level.
HEALTH & SAFETY
· All Spa Members need to sign a medical intake form before their first spa session – these must be renewed at the same time as your membership or if anything medically changes.
· All Spa Members and their guests must adhere to all Health & Safety rules that are outlined around the Spa.
· Those with a cautionary medical history or those currently suffering with a medical condition should contact the Spa and speak with a team member before signing up for a membership. Certain medical conditions may be unsuitable for use of the facilities.
· We have the right to refuse admission into the Spa should any Member and their guest be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
· No running is permitted around the spa.
· No diving is permitted in the swim pond or hydro-therapy pool.
· In the event of freak weather the Yorkshire Spa Retreat reserve the right to close the swim pond for the health and safety of guests.
TREATMENTS
· For all Spa Treatments, we advise that you arrive to the Spa at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment start time to ensure you are here on time. If you are late for your appointment this will affect your treatment length.
· Should there be any medical conditions that could react negatively to any treatments, please inform the Spa team at the time of booking so we can make reasonable adjustments. This includes any skin allergies or reactions, and any medication that you are taking.
· We respectfully ask that you wear swimwear or underwear for your treatment. Disposable underwear can be provided by the therapists should you wish to wear that instead.
· We respectfully ask you come with good personal hygiene for all treatments.
PREGNANCY
· We do have treatments that are suitable during Pregnancy however these must be requested with the Spa Reception team when booking.
· No body treatments are to be performed before you are 12 weeks pregnant.
· We do not recommend use of the thermal cabins while you are pregnant.
· We do not recommend use of the hydro-therapy pool while you are pregnant.
SPA ETIQUETTE
· We ask that swimwear must be always worn within The Spa.
· We request that mobile phones and other electronic devices are turned to ‘silent’ when in and around the Spa.
· To respect other individuals’ privacy, we request that all mobile devices and cameras are not to be used in changing rooms under any circumstances.
· Lockers are provided for all members and day guests for them to use during the stay at the Spa. They are not to be kept for personal use.
· Any valuables left in any of the lockers or in and around the Spa are left at their own risk. The Spa will not be held responsible for any loss or damage. Anything left unclaimed will be kept in lost property for 30 days.
· Smoking is not permitted in and around the Spa. This includes the use of e-cigarettes.
· The Yorkshire Spa Retreat prides itself on creating a relaxing atmosphere for all guests, we ask that noise and conversation is kept respectable at all times.
· We ask that you shower before using any of the facilities.
INSURANCE
· The Spa at Yorkshire Spa Retreat are licenced to perform all Spa services detailed in their Treatment Menu.
SERVICE CHARGE
· A discretionary service charge will be added to any additional extras on your bill on departure
DATA PROTECTION ACT
All your personal information is safely stored, confidential and only visible to limited team members, if you are concerned about the use of your personal information, please advise the Spa manager. We collect personal information from you through your membership sign up form and your medical intake form. The information we collect may relate to your physical health or condition.
